2024 Overland City Council

Overland’s 2024 City Council

This past week the newly elected Overland City Council members were sworn in at city hall. The 2024 election was special as it was the first time in nearly a decade without a competitive race as all current members ran unopposed.

After the swearing in there was a reception at the Community Center featuring some amazing local food provided by:: Chimi’s, Fire Chicken, and O Wing Plus!

Recognizing former Councilperson Jamie Jones for her many years of service to our community.

In addition to the swearing in ceremony former Councilperson Jamie Jones was recognized for her many years of service to our community. The Councilperson resigned earlier this year when she made the difficult decision to move for her family. I’ve worked side by side with the former Councilperson at many events in Overland over the years. I’d say she’ll be missed, but she’ll still be coming back to the community regularly and I expect we’ll see her continue to volunteer from time to time. Thank you for all you’ve done in Overland Jamie Jones!

Councilperson Leslie Ferguson was appointed to replace Councilperson Jones in Ward 3.

Here are some pictures of the swearing in ceremony:

Congratulations to Councilpersons:

  • Patrick Wroblewski (Ward 1)

  • Lee Furnace (Ward 2)

  • Jessica Requejo (Ward 3)

  • Kirby Barnard (Ward 4)

We continue to have a great team on the dais in Overland. They’ve been willing to take on the tough issues and I’m looking forward to seeing all they do for our Community this year, as well as volunteering to help where I can.
