Overland’s 2024 Spring Clean Up

Last week Overland had a very successful Spring Clean Up. Here are some of the highlights I observed while volunteering there:

• Five giant dumpsters were filled, with a sixth partially loaded!

• Dozens of old TVs and many other old appliances and electronics were collected.

• So much scrap metal was collected another trailer had to be called in (that’s never happened before)

• Countless loads of tree limbs and other yard debris were collected along with a fair amount of broken concrete.

• Though all the volunteers worked hard to make this happed we all had fun as well

When you consider all of this used to be in our and our neighbors yards and homes the positive impact this event had on our community was huge this year.
