Ritenour School District Superintendent Dr. Chris Kilbride has released a video updating the Ritenour community on the start of the 2023/2023 school year (you can watch it above).

He spoke about the District’s guiding mantra: "Doing Less, But Better" and how focusing on the power of simplicity, by honing the district’s time and energy on the things that truly matter, can make the most significant impact. While the focus of this is the success of Ritenour students, we could all benefit from taking a more focused and goal-oriented approach life.

He also mentioned some great things happening at the district including:

Five Ritenour High School Huskies who are part of the school’s Teach & Lead program, culminated their first week of school as invited guests on a White House tour celebrating education in our nation’s capital on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023."

The Ritenour School District is grateful for community partners who support students with additional back-to-school resources to help them get a strong start to the new 2023-2024 school year.

He also highlighted some of the great work done around the district thanks to Prop S like the newly renovated cafeteria and new fitness center at the High School.

It will be interesting to see what’s to come at the Ritenour School District this year. I know my son was excited to return to school (he definitely didn’t get that from me). One thing that can be a big help for our kids is if those in our community who can, donate some of their own time and energy to the district. Learn more about volunteering with Ritenour here. Additionally, local businesses can have a great impact on our district and themselves by partnering with Ritenour’s Work-Based Learning Program. Also, don’t forget, Ritenour helps adults as well though their Adult Education and Literacy Program.

This year Ritenour plans to focus on where the greatest impact can be made. Let’s all look for ways we can do the same to support their efforts and our kids.
