2024 Overland Community Parade

On Saturday May 18th the City of Overland and the Overland Business Association (OBA) partnered to bring the 2024 Overland Community Parade to our streets with the support of the Overland Police Department.

This year there was a new, longer route than ran East (instead of West) on Lackland and then through downtown Overland on Woodson before ending at the Overland Farmers Market. This was an awesome community event. The theme was the “Wild, Wild West”, but it was in fact 100% Overland neighborly pride that was on full display today!

The Parade included Shirley Needy as Grand Marshal, Donna Dill, the current Citizen of the Year, Det. John O’Neill Overland PD’s current Officer of the Year, Mayor Little, Ritenour Superintendent Kilbride, and many other officials, organizations, businesses and neighbors. The parade also had some amazing classic cars including the VFW Post 3944 Model T!

If you missed this event we hope the pictures below can give you a bit of the strong community vibes that were everywhere on the parade route today (you can click on them to see larger versions and click through them all).
